Protecting Children Financially

When parents get divorced, often the children end up living with one parent most of the time. To afford the cost of raising children on your own, you likely will need child support from your co-parent. The purpose is to make sure your children are not financially affected by living with one parent only.

Child support can be a touchy subject, but having an experienced family law attorney on your side can make all the difference. I have helped parents with child support matters since 1982. My office, Adkisson Law Firm, is in San Antonio and serves clients throughout Central Texas.

Serving Parents And Children In San Antonio

The law contains a formula for determining how much child support a noncustodial parent should pay. This formula considers things like each parent's income and financial resources and the number of children they have together.

We are committed to making sure children are provided for after divorce or in any situation where their parents do not live together. I work with both custodial and noncustodial parents to learn their financial situation, explain the law and work toward a fair and sustainable level of payment.

My relationship with our clients does not end once we reach a child support arrangement. I am also prepared to represent you in child support enforcement matters and post-decree modifications.
